Hello 9th Grade Students and Parents,

The Health Science Academy  is a three-year elective program designed to give students who are interested in the medical or health science field, an opportunity to gain specialized knowledge, and training in high school.  Please join our Google Classroom -> Here and the application is found under Classwork. ​Academy Highlights:

–UC/CSU (“A through G”) required courses that demonstrate to colleges and universities the student is committed to education. 
-3 Honors Courses (GPA boost)
–Extra Point on ​your Nursing School program application (Ex: ​CSUCI)
–Certification in American Red Cross First Aid, CPR and AED
–OSHA 10 hr Healthcare Course 
–Clinical Skills – Suturing, Heart/Lung Sounds, EKG, ​Bandaging/Triage, ​etc… 
–3-5 Field Trips per school year
–Internships – at hospitals, clinics and on-campus (Athletic Training) 

We also have paper applications available in MO15/MO16 (behind the library) or in the Counseling Office with Mrs. Kawaichi.
